About Lingcod Fishing in Puget Sound

  • Season: May 1 – June 15 (Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife)
  • Method: We fish with light tackle and bait or jigs around rock piles, reefs, and ledges where Lingcod hide and ambush prey.
  • Catch: Lingcod average 10–20 lbs, with some fish exceeding 30 lbs.

Our captains know the best Lingcod structures near Possession Bar, Point No Point, and Shilshole Reef, and will keep you right on the spots that consistently produce fish.

What to Expect on Your Lingcod Charter

You’ll start the morning with a short safety briefing and gear setup. Our crew provides rods, reels, bait, and all terminal tackle. We fish using controlled drifts and jigs — a very active and exciting style of fishing.

FAQ — Lingcod Fishing in Puget Sound

❓ How is the Lingcod fishing compared between Seattle and Edmonds?

No difference — the catching is the same! Our Seattle and Edmonds boats fish the same reefs and rock piles in central Puget Sound, often side-by-side. The only difference is your departure point:

  • Seattle (Shilshole Bay Marina) — best for downtown guests
  • Edmonds Marina — convenient for north-end anglers

Pick whichever is most convenient; you’ll get the same boats, gear, and great action.

❓ What size Lingcod can I keep?

WDFW allows one Lingcod per person per day within the legal slot size (usually 26–36 inches; check current regs).

Yes — all tackle, bait, and jigs are provided.

❓ Can kids fish for Lingcod?
